This is for the folks who posted to the Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga Duet of the "Lady Is a Tramp" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPAmDULCVrU&feature=relatedThis is Lady Gaga singing "Someone to Watch Over Me" for those interested.
She does a nice job of it. A better singer than I think you thought.
Indeed I'd rather listen to this voice over Diana Krall or Patricia Barber any day of the week - even if not "audiophile approved."

Jean Louisa's Kelly - who sung it herself and has performed it live.I prefer it to Linda's which I have on LP. Kelly just gets it bang on.
I like other versions of course but if I had to pick one for the island kind of thing it would be the Kelly version.

I go with Gaga or Amy's (Ella's withstanding).
album. I never see it in the shops.
It wouldn't surprise me if she repents from the pop crap at some point in her career. And as the song says: If you think that time will change your ways, don't wait too long.
I clearly enjoy some of her songs, but I like more the fact that she's doing stuff like this (apparently at a concert?). I mean, how cool is that?
I've heard her do some acoustic live stuff (on tv) and will admit that he does have some skills. Seems like a "real" singer to me.
Thanks for posting the link.
Cheers.

I'm not a big fan of comparing versions - so long as someone brings something to it I often like many different versions. I prefer Gaga's version to Amy's however.
Neither are as good as Jean Louisa Kelly who IMO does it the best out of anyone including Linda Rondstadt
