For a LOT of power? A last-model Parasound A21 This is like 250x2 and 400x2@4ohms.
Plenty of power
My power condieitonwer? Will shut off all its outlets if voltage drops below 95vac or goes above 135vac.......
Best of luck getting EMO to part with a Schematic. And they probably do NOT fix them any more either, since it would cost them about 500$ to stock the most common failure mode parts and circuit boards.
Too much is never enough
Follow Ups:
Hi Pictureguy; You are right about Emotiva-for a while they cannibalized returned stock No schematic no parts -as you guessed a second rate co. Others on the asylum have found that the amps work for them.
In NYC, you cannot file a claim against Con Ed-they have some deal with city;highest rates in the US and they are not liable for anything but food and medicine in black outs. Filed anyways so I can take it to small claim if the courts ever open with a2 year back log.
Feel like a crazy man throwing big$ for amps that cannot be protected except expensive insurance policies-exclusions galore because of the Manhattan grid
Do not think 400w is sufficient for the 1.7 with organ music that really pushes the bottom
Might file a claim with TRIPP LITE in which i have send them surge protectors and they decide if it was a voltage drop or surge-obviouly it was both.. They are supposed to protect against $75,000 damage Hee Haw..
1,7 won't go 'to the bottom'. Some (VERY FEW) tunes call for a 15hz pedal tone.
I cross my 1.6s in 2 places. LOW cut to the mains maybe 50 to 55hz. Sub gets full-range signal but has a 24db / octave crossover I set to 40 to 45 hz.... The 'gap'fills itself in without bloat or boom.
I DO listen to some organ music and attend the Sprekels Organ concerts a couple times a year....down in Balboa Park San Diego, which I THINK is the last place on the planet which has a regular perfoance of such an inssttruemtn..
This might be the 3rd or 4th keyboard for this instrument. STAY after the Sunday Concert and take the TOUR behind the scenes.
SDGE paid for the repair of my amplifier BUT I had to tell them EXACTLY when and what I observed.
Too much is never enough
