Asking because y don't have the boxes, I will be safer to transport them lying flat one on top of the other, or lying on their sides.
Thank you in advance for your responses.

Really appreciate your help thanks
I would think flat would be the way to go.I'd place a blanket under them. If you can fit them side by side that would probably be the best. Good luck.
Joto
the below cost me about $30 in wood and another $12 for optional handles (I figured the final product would be heavy and handlers are more prone to show mercy on cargo if they can manage it, versus- it managing them) for a pair of 1.7's I shipped a while back.
wood: 3 (1"x6"x6')
a sheet of plywood I had home depot cut (I forgot the width but I measured the width and added an inch so the panels had a 1/2 inch on each side to 'float' against a few squares of foam I placed along the sides).Another $12 for optional handles .
FYI -keep in mind when shipping any type of 'crate' they might (at least the independent UPS store I use) add about 30% more than what you calculate at home online due to a 'special handling fee' they apply.

But if you want to give yourself the maximum protection ... build a 'coffin' for them; 1/2" ply top and bottom and pine sides.
