Return to Planar Speaker Asylum

I bought a pair of Innersound (Sanders) speakers used a while back. The speakers have been upgraded with the new panels and woofers. The crossover/amp is the original version with the two slide switches on the front left and the single volume knob on the right. I have had numerous issues with this unit and have given up trying to use it. I corresponded with Innersound and Roger Sanders was kind enough to reply to me with this general info:
The original crossover/amp has been frought with manufacturing issues. He suggested I look at one of his current products.
I would not be able to invest $5-6 k on one of his current amps.
I am asking if any here know of an alternative for the crossover for these speakers. There are many electronic crossovers for sale and some have an an amp built in to drive the subs.
It looks like Sanders used a 24 FB slope at a crossover frequency of around 360-450 hz.
I don't believe I am qualified to determine if a product is suitable so am asking if anyone has down this path. I have two power amps so I could use just an electronic crossover if need be.
Thanks for any advice that can be shared with me!

I'm glad you brought this topic up; Ironically a Eros popped up for sale online a day or two before this thread.
I actually considered grabbing it but quickly dismissed the thought for no apparent reason.
You might also want to check if Roger would sell one of his modified Behringer XOs.According to this review, it comes with a lifetime warranty from Roger.
I remember seeing the Behringer at the show, but didn't remember what model he [currently] uses.

I have owned EROS speakers for five years and had a problem with the original Innersound bass amp/crossover. I talked with Roger Sanders at Sanders Sound and he recommended using a DBX Venu360 crossover/DSP/room correction unit. I bought one from Roger as he has it programmed for the Sanders 10e speakers. It works better than the crossover/bass amp. I sent the amp to CODA for repair and after talking with Doug Dale at CODA I decided to buy a new amp. He offered to give me half of the original list price for the crossover/bass amp toward purchase of a CODA amp. I believe I received $2000.00 off a CODA Continuum TS amp. I love it! CAll Doug Dale at CODA Technologies and see if he can provide a similar offer.
Awesome Tim! Just what I was looking for.
Thanks a lot!

Marchand Electronics has a nice selection of electronic XO's with various options including 24dB/octave slopes and they also come up on the used market from time to time.
Your amps need to be able to drive ESLs. Are your amps rated to be stable at 2 Ohm loads ?
Thanks! I've looked at Marchand's site; it could use a refresh. I was using an old Acoustat TNT 200 amp but it has a floating ground and is essentially not a match electrically for the Eros. But, it is special with Acoustats.
Right now, I am using some Prima Luna tube amps with the Eros; pretty smooth sound but not enough oomph.
The real problem is the crossover amp.
Thank for your help!
