It seems that the speaker panel is supposed to be covered with a sock, then another cover is stretched between the wooden caps on top of the sock.
If so, why cover the 2.7QR's front side with 2 layers? Is it to tame the hot QR tweeter? Any comment would be appreciated.

I have made a PDF. Recieved an instruction of an audio buddy how to replace the fabric of the front cover. Is there a place here where it can be uploaded?

Thanks Roger for the offer.
I managed to Duck taped, stapled the sock to the speaker. A couple of trips to the local Home Depot and Dale and I got the bent screws replaced. Dale even has the Washer/cap set that cover the screws that complements the 2.7r's back side. The front covers and the wooden caps were fairly easy to work with. A bit of contact glue, duck tape, and a BBQ lighter helps to make the job easier.
