For a brief few hours, a convenience store in Tennessee was offering perhaps the lowest fuel prices of any gas station in the country - only the owner didn't know it.
One customer, Henry DeHart of Chattanooga, knew something was wrong when, after putting 12 gallons of premium gas in the tank of his car, the pump's digital readout displayed a surprising total: $5.64.
And the price per gallon? Just 45 cents.

Or maybe I'm the sucker who always tells the grocery store clerk they undercharged me or forget to ring an item through or gave me too much change.
I sort of get it - some folks think they're screwing over the big giant gas company who screw the people raising gas prices and using the war as an excuse to price gouge. But it's not those big corporations they're screwing it's the guy running the gas station.
With luck, once this gets around some of the folks who drove off will come back and give him the money.
In the old days when people could drive off without paying it took many sales for the owner to recover his losses. 5 hours of giving gas away - it could put some stations out of business.
