2 hours 12 minutes, 23 seconds. Average speed just a tick under 15 MPH.
That was my time on the bike this morning, on the Great Allegheny Passage.
Started out foggy...
But cleared up fast. Beautiful day, sunshine and clear skies. The leaves are just starting to turn.
Took the Motobecane and flew.
Put in 112 miles starting last Tuesday, my best week of riding so far. If it doesn't rain Thursday, I'll get one more ride in this week. Closing in on 1,000 miles for the year.

Follow Ups:
After my surgery back in June I predicted I'd be back to my 50s by Aug, I did a 20 this past Saturday and again on Sunday; that second one kicked my butt, had to walk my bike up the last hill to my house; but then again it was in the high 90F and I ran out of water about 2 miles from my house.
Plus I didn't count the saddle sore factor into it either, takes time to (re)train your butt to a seat!
Question: have you considered clip-ons? You could gain some mileage with them.
GL? My WIFE makes me a Miracle Drink for when I cycled lots.

I used to use toe clips, but my legs got stronger and I don't need them anymore.
Clipless pedals, I'm too much of a klutz. The times I've fallen over the last year was getting on the bike or getting off the bike.

I had one bad day - two screws on my left cleat fell out, so as I tried to disengage the pedal it did not.
The first time it happened I wrote it off to me being a klutz, but then I fell the second time and in the parking lot, realizing something was not right.
So I locktited the new screws and made it a habit of checking the cleats.
But yeah... a bit more chance of something going wrong... except they are so nice when you are rolling.
I have some LOOK style cleats new on the display card.
Any interest?

Sometimes I worry that they've ruined me.
I can barely ride without cleats now.

Even with flat pedals, I'll sometimes stop the bike faster than I can get my feet on the ground. Luckily, I haven't been hurt other than brushburns.

You definitely are better safe than sharp looking! :)
Have you considered or tried the modern flat pedals? I haven't tried them myself, but many companies are making them, so there's got to be some reason! :)
RockBros flat mountain bike pedals. Grippy on both sides, wide enough for my feet.
Ordered a set of the alloy pedals for the Motobecane.

Definitely better way to pedal. Takes some getting used to them, though.
I am still using the original Look.
protuberances behind the handlebars? And good speeds--- you'd make it tough on a Black Mamba...

...each Saturday - 29+ miles, 2 hours. I have three fairly serious hills each way.I also take two mandatory breaks - as I told myself I am there not just to pedal, but also to enjoy the nature, so I sit for 10-15 minutes, eat, drink, talk to my wife on the phone, watch the river flow and birds dive for fish. That time does not count towards those two hours.
I guess you are retired? I can practically ride twice a week, Tuesday after work and then Saturday. I figure that gives me enough exercise so I can legitimately spend other evenings in my basement workshop. :)
You are doing great, so keep on pedaling!

At the turn round point, I sat for about 10 minutes before starting back.
Yep, I'm retired. My wife is still working but even if she were retired too, she's a late riser. I have the mornings to myself.

Last Saturday it was pretty chilly, even as I started at 9am. So the first 20-30 minutes it was uncomfortable. So I bought arms warmer, that you can take off after a while.
Also a really good Pearl Izumi jacket. Light weight, looks good, very warm, can be rolled up and stuffed in the tail bag and not get wrinkled.
Long bib pants, too.
I had the arm warmers on this morning but pulled them off when I got to the turn around.

...tons of gear, but I foolishly sold most of it 16 years ago, when I stopped riding. Now trying to buy it again and with bad luck. Bought pants, that are "sized XL" - I was not even able to pull it over my ankle, they truly were sized "extra Asian". I see now some gear has official Asian sizing.
The clothes are too big. XL is too big, L is borderline.
I picked up a Patagonia fly fishing shirt--they're excellent for riding--got an L instead of a medium and it fits me like a sack.

seemed sized for a child. Definitely varied some among manufacturers, though.

Satellite tracking? Military drones? Ankle monitor?
The trip odometer measures hundredths. It's a Cateye Padrone wireless computer.
By the way, the wheel of the bike bounced around enough on the way home from the trail that the computer showed 32.22 miles when I took it out of the handlebar bag.
