There were 100 chassis available between the D-Type and the XKSS. There's a mint '57 in BRG floating around, valued at $12,000,000.
And worth only what someone will PAY FOR IT....which in my case? 500$ cash, a case of Coors and tickets to Wrestlemania....
I'd rather hae a BRG Miata from one of the few years they produced 'em in that color.....At least I could drive it......

A total of 25 XKSS were planned but 9 got destroyed in a factory fire while being built leaving 16 in existence.

The guy doesn't bring it out often, but I've seen it a few times. Even more impressive than in pictures. And it makes the most wonderful sound.

Cars that old did not need to meet many stringent rules - not in Oz anyway. I had a buddy at university with one of these with full regular road registration!
