They're bought up as soon as they hit the freezer section. I guess with no big family gatherings, nobody wants lots of leftovers.
Except my wife. We will have lots of leftovers here. Twice.

My daughter ordered a Bell & Evans last month at our local grocer. It came in on Sunday and she picked it up today.
They'll be plenty left over for turkey clubs on Friday ...with a heaping helping of stuffing on the side ...and pecan bars.

I'm making a turkey breast for Thanksgiving.
The soup is good, there's lots of instructions on youtube if you haven't had that before. I wound up buying lots of vegetable bullion cubes and am going to make it with turnips, carrots, parsnip, and parsley. Little bit of salt and pepper too.
After turning over a lot of frozen turkeys at my local K-roger, I managed to find a 14 pounder. The rest were well north of that size.
I like to cook them on my Weber kettle and 14-15 pounds is at the upper limit of what will fit under the lid.
Nice find.
We use an old-school Hamilton-Beach countertop roaster; my wife has it down to a science, always get a good, moist bird. And it frees up the oven for pies.
We gave up on charcoal when my dad's ancient Weber kettle rusted out at a leg junction. Have a Weber natural gas grill, no bottles, no dealing with spent coals, love it.
