A few years ago they had a good season with Dalton.
Until Burfict knocked Brown unconscious in a playoff game.
I used to get a kick out of old Myron, the way he would annunciate when he talked about "The Bungles".
"The disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute, and is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside, or almost a cleaning. As you see it gets in the lungs!"
Follow Ups:
Steelers hosted Bill Belichick's Browns one year for the first round of the playoffs.
"Heard it from a birdie, we'll murder Testaverde,
Fah-gah-gah, gah-gah-gah-gah!"
He also rhymed "Leroy Hoard" and "strangled with a rubber cord."
I think that was in 1994, the year the Steeler let themselves get beat by Stan Gilbert in the AFC Championship Game.
The problem is not that there is evil in the world, the problem is that there is good. Because otherwise, who would care?

I remember that one. San Diego finished that game by taking a knee on their one yard line. San Diego did Cowher a favor that year.

But I still think the Steelers got a safety after they turned it over on downs.

Hmmmm . . . I did a cursory search & cannot come up with anything on that, but as I remember, SD ran out the clock with Humphries on his knee. I am not infallible, but on that kind of thing I am usually pretty good.
It always seemed like back then the real game to watch was SF vs Dallas in the playoffs. That team that Jimmy Johnson put together was nearly unstoppable. Whatever Jones's issue was with JJ, for his own good, he should have gotten over it. Switzer never would have won a Superbowl if he didn't have Neil O'Donnell throwing passes to Larry Brown.

I have no conscious memory of that, but I can only imagine that Myron was at his hilarious best.
I do remember listening to him calling a SNF game & talking about a pass O'Donnell threw, "MMM-HA!! A frozen rope to nobody!!"
Once I was listening to him on a radio talk show (that was back when I listened to DVE) & he was talking about (I think it was Don Beebe) with Merle Hodge & someone else (this was back when Hodge was slowly rehabbing from a few too many concussions), & Myron was talking about how fast Beebe was & he says, "MMM-HA!! And he is a CAU-CASION!"
No one else said a word & there was this real painful moment of silence that really cracked me up. That one always stuck in my mind.

I was working as a courier and never missed his radio show.
My cousin moved to Los Angeles after he graduated college and took some tapes of Myron Cope with him. People though it was a put-on.

I bet.
We moved up here in '91 (I rember that was Chuck Noll's last year) & I was working 3 to 11 in a shop where DVE was always on someone's radio. I think that at first I thought it was a put on too.
