If you witness an event, and testify under oath describing the event, it can be considered 'evidence'.
Others' testimony, who witnessed the same event, could be considered 'corroborating evidence'.
If the accounts vary substantially, the value of the 'evidence' decreases.
And vice-versa. :-)
