...18" to 24" coming my way.
Spinal stenosis and deep snow were made for each other.
Wish me luck.
I'm as prepared as I can be.

Follow Ups:
We had that same snow dump last week and it's very nasty as it comes with strong winds that help to spread the snow all around including the side of your house, driveway, and whatnot. Be prepare to shovel every 4 hours to minimize the snow drift along the nooks and crannies. Failure to this you will end up calling the city's snow plow to dig you out. However, despite all that snow shoveling last week we are back to a normal warm weather this week of which will be coming to your neck of the woods next week.

...Doctors orders.
I have a snow thrower which is pretty easy to walk behind and steer.
To "shovel" the front walk I drive the snow thrower up the lawn, take a left and come down the steps.
Then I just push what was missed into its path and go around again.
It works pretty well.

when removing the snow using a snow thrower. I can only imagine what he must be going through...
Stay warm....

Because he's blowing the snow towards his driveway? Or that he should use an electric snow blower to be more environmentally conscious?
:)
The cold numb his sense of direction. Perhaps, he should have wore a mukluks to help keep his toes warm.

You might need more wood Dean, be safe ...
If I need more wood that means not only did we lose power, but my generator is not working. That would suck.
Although, setting up the generator in a snow storm will be no fun either.
The blizzard has moved off shore, but they say 2" an hour for most of the day. That's too much snow.

Winner! Best equipped AA member!
I was diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis and Spondelosisis a few years ago and after about a year the pain got so bad I was all set for surgery. Fortunately, I had an argument with the Neurologist about him keeping me waiting 3 hours and I went in search of another.
Found an Orthopaedist with sense enough to take an X-Ray and a fresh MRI. Turned out that while I have the Stenosis, 90% of the pain was an arthritic hip treatable so far with Cortisone injections and Vitamin I.
Watch out for Doctors who are all memory and no brains.
...who rectified two friends back problems, one of which was very serious.
I'll be getting another MRI and then my neurosurgeon will decide the course of action. He says if surgery is needed, its not very invasive and I'll be back to work in two days.
That sounds better than a chronic bad back.

Sounds good.
Wishing you a good result.
You might want to add a packet of Aspirin to your snow party supplies!
Cheers,
