Pretty neat job! Used to race these Spanish bikes a LONG time ago. I can smell the castor bean oil exhaust and hear that 2-stroke, now.

They are a different company now. Only the name remains as is so often the case.
Hybrid mountain bikes are all the rage in Europe.
Fantastic for the older guys, women and non-pros who just do not want to or can't pedal up endless trail climbs.
Bultaco look like they've gone one further and just about have a hybrid motocross bike.

Man, what a memory!
These were IT quite a while ago.
Didn't one of this win its class at Isle of Mann? At least the road going version?
Too much is never enough

but had nowhere to ride one.
Of the guys I ride street bikes with, the ones who started on dirt bikes generally seem to be the better street riders. I suppose it's learning what to do (and not do!) in a slide, how hard to take corners, etc.
That was a fun video to watch, thanks.
Learning to ride by seat of the pants. No tach or speedo. You had to know the powerband of your bike. Some of the earlier bikes were so peaky, it's like you had no HP at lower RPMs... then max HP in one tiny area of the RPM range. Then, none above that.
I remember the old beat-up 100cc Hodaka Super Rat. You had to wind the piss out of it. And keep the R's up by shifting all the time. Because once you fell off the pipe... it took forever to get back into the HP range. And you'd just die on some uphill section. I learned to shift without the clutch. Because, just the action of pulling the clutch lever was enough to drop you off the powerband.
Steering in the dirt is all power and braking. Lots of fun. Power sliding around corners. Counter-steering. Berms, ledges...
Gonna have to look into getting that 250cc KTM...

I have a '72 Alpina
Friend in HS used to. Had a Sherpa T. What a neat bike that was...
Nope, just cruise it around the woods. It will go anywhere.
Beautiful bike! The Alpina I kinda remember riding was a blue and yellow one, like the photo.
