I wouldn't worry about 16 ohms because lots of speakers were 16 ohms back in the day and most tube amps weren't much larger than 20 watts per channel with 4,8 and 16 ohm taps and loud could be had in mono.
If you lucky enough to have true 3-way Aristocrats with the better EV drivers you don't need lots of watts to drive them.
Just don't go crazy with bass boost and around 25 watts per channel should be fine and better yet if you have corners to shove the Aristocrats into to work as designed for extended bass.
Follow Ups:
yup, the cabinets are a folded horn design - rather complicated & robust construction, designed by Paul Klispch, with open back, designed to reflect low frequency waves from the corners of the room. The room becomes the horn!
I think these speakers were built in the 60's. I have had them for many years, they all came from garage sales or craigs list, not much capital, but lots of work equity in refinishing. Still looking for the last one.
I thought they sounded a little too bright, installed L pads for adjustments on the mid / hi.
I have them sitting on top of my Altecs - creates a wall of sound when lit up.
Or, They could be the front speakers for my next HT system upstairs.
