SP 12D?
Follow Ups:
The SP12 and SP12D both weigh 19lb. Reissue??
SP12 may be a suitable substitute if your one SP12D is 16 ohm, at least until you find another SP12D - or use a pair of SP12s if the SP12 sounds different to the SP12D.
These speakers sell well on Ebay so experimenting should be at little cost, if not a profit if you buy well.
It looks the same and it's definitely 16 ohms but I won't break up the set; it just seems wrong to me.
It's certainly possible the SP12D is a reissue. This configuration of Patrician 800 with available in August of 1964 and possibly as early as January of 1963 when the Patrician 800 was introduced. I'm not sure when EV stopped production of the SP12. I found this out last night by looking through old issues of Audio magazine.
Thank you. I had misread the label; I looked this morning and it is an SP12D.
The other drivers match the ones listed in the image you posted. I suspect it's a later version. All the drivers have white bells and a matte silver baskets as opposed to the brown drivers I've seen on the web in Patricians that match the published specifications. I gather the brown drivers are older.
