And if looking at a BR cab better to go with ff225wk
FE206EN in the old Karlson 12 does some really good sounding drums - better than w8-1772 in the same cabinet and clearer than my K-hornshere's a NOS BOFU vs FE206EN on-axis in a fake Druid pipe
look at the 2K6 spike on the Fostex

I have a vintage Kalson pair form the late 50s early 60s anyway they are cut for 12in. Was going to use vintage SEAS 12in alnico mag woofers. EV mid and eminence tweeters. Was wondering lengths of K tube needed to load both, both are 1in comps EV mid is covering 1000hz-7000hz, tweeter 7000hz up. Thanks for your time.
...an FE 104E in a Fostex horn is airy, seamless, images like nothing else and...sounds like a cheap transistor radio from Midddle C up!
Fun to build, though!

Well, middle C is 256 Hz. It sounds like you need a midrange and tweeter to go with that full-range.

That works for me! Actually it looks like it would sound very good. what are the drivers?

JBL 2226 and 2123, a ribbon I can't remember that Kloss recommended sometime in the last century.
Almost crossoverless so it fits this thread, just a huge coil on the bottom to roll off at about 400Hz, the 2123 full-range and a 2nd order on the ribbon IIRC around 3500. The ribbon, spec'd at 97dB didn't have the push to keep up with the cones so it got sold and an Altec 806 got perched on top with a Martinelli Horn. Aaaaah!
That served until I built the 4Pis.

The 1st on the 2123 would have given a kneed LP the final slope quite steep (> than 4th) and the ribbon would have had a lot less excursion to deal with. And there'd have been a lot less overlap as the 2123 goes right up to about 6k IIRC. You might not have needed to swap wires either.
Even a 3.5k matching 3rd LP/HP.
I like the 10 and 8 inch JBL Wide range drivers.

'Still not saluting.'
Short-lived experiment quite a while ago, so, no. Good suggestion, tho'.
