I own the Sa-10, it replaced the Esoteric K-01, I never looked back. Don't miss the Esoteric at all, that tells you how good the SA-10 is, just give it the best power cord you can afford.

which Power Cord (PC) do you use on your SA-10 ?
I Use an AQ Blizzard on the SA-10, Thunder is a touch better even.

From the past and Marantz's great way with digital I would have to say the more basic SACD 30 would sound just great, looking at the design a lot of the SA-10 is in it, I would say this is like the Sony SCD1 and the when the cheaper 777ES was released later, both were excellent sounding units with the SCD1 build quality being a huge step up. With both the best power cord you can afford should be used on either of them, they can be really, really good. Mine SA-10 replaced an Esoteric K-01, I never looked back.

Right On! the Esoteric is highly regarded. It seems the Sa-10 sets a new standard in CD/SACD playback!
