If you'd ever heard DSD128 and DSD256, I don't think you'd be so concerned with SACD. I had the DSD64 extracted from my 12 SACDs because I've gone to playing digital files directly from my hard drive, or more accurately, my plugin flash drives since I now use a FiiO M15. It's so much simpler than playing CDs and SACDs; furthermore, these higher rez formats sound better to me. Of course, I also have some excellent sounding DSD64 files. YMMV
Happy listening!

Is the M11 Plus Ltd on your radar yet? Looks like Fiio have completely discontinued the M11 pro and the M15 already.
Is it just me, or does the M11 sound better when it's charging than when it is not?
The only reason I'm "concerned" is that I have many more than 12 SACD's in my collection. I don't find it that cumbersome to drop them in a player actually. I've tried ripping my cd's in the past, and I find that to be a pain. If I want simplicity I listen to streaming versions of what I want, someone has already done the work for me. I don't have the ears, or the setup (as the refrigerator on the other side of the wall kicks on!) to discern the differences in higher resolution formats. I asked below about ripping SACD's, but now having counted how many I have, and seen that I have to buy a certain disc player to be able to do it I don't think it's worth my time.
Nice looking player, but $1500 is pretty close to the $2500 for the Marantz, and the Marantz does lots more.
The Marantz upsamples everything to DSD 256.
Please buy one, compare to your set-up and Report!
