I'm pretty new to ripping files and sending them to the Sony HAP-Z1ES, but even I find dBpoweramp easy to use. I stopped copying the ripped files to iTunes, because the HAP transfer app finds them anyway. I've been using 0 compression, but I'll check out PAR's suggestion, even though the quality of sound with 0 compression is excellent. I use balanced from the Sony to an Ayre K-5xeMP preamp to an Ayre VX-5 Twenty amp that drives a pair of KEF LS50s.
