If dbpoweramp creates a FLAC and a file for iTunes, what file type and resolution is created for iTunes?
If the Sony knows "where to look" for files to be transferred, does it transfer just the FLAC, the iTunes file, or both?
Follow Ups:
I set the HAP Transfer app to send only FLAK files to the Sony HDD, so I assume that's what it's sending. The Sony HDD output is balanced to an Ayre K-5xeMP and VX-5 Twenty that drive a pair of KEF LS50s. The sound quality with 16 bit 0 compression FLAK files is quite good.

Ah, OK so you can specify which file types and where the Transfer App looks for the files.
I had the Sony HAP-S1 which uses the same tranfer app but that was quite a long time ago and I don't remember the particulars of how it worked. Thanks.
You can specify file types, not sure you can specify where the app looks for files, but it finds files ripped with dBpoweramp and not copied to iTunes. The files get transferred to a HAP-Z1ES via ethernet.
