Hey all,
I bought a cheap sony ps3 headset for like 89 bucks. I was excited cause I haven't really gamed with a headset before.
I started researching more, and realized my set was not that good.
I now have the Turtle Beach px5 for 250. The audio is much better than the sony headphones. Its crisp, but i feel like its missing something...i cant put my finger on it.
I still dont know, but im not satisfied. Apparently there isnt much for the ps3 gaming headsets. What are the best headphones for gaming? Im thinking about not using a headset but just get great headphones and then get some clip on mic. im looking for the best bang for my buck, and hopefully around 250 bucks. THANKS!
Follow Ups:
I picked up the Microsoft Lifechat LX-3000 USB headset on sale, figuring they'd be good for Skyping with my sister in England. I was surprised by how comfortable they were and how good they sound. Much more comfortable for long listening sessions than the Logitech something-250 headset that I kept at the office.
How about the Logitech Wireless Headset F540? Can be had for less than $150.
It does have nice features and wireless is super convenient.
Of course having wireless, noise cancellation does not mean that sound quality will be better. But feature set is very nice and you know it will support PS3.
For the PS3, do you have an analog output for headphones. Or is it USB out only?
