Hello,
I've got a friend who complained that her earbuds she uses with her work computer would get uncomfortably hot after 30 mins of listening. I got her a new pair of headphones (the amazon fire ones) and had her update her drivers, but she says the problem still persists - it just takes longer now, a few hours, before the headphones heat up. I wasn't able to find anything about this online - could anyone here help me troubleshoot this? I'm thinking it has to be a short of some kind in her computer, as it doesn't happen with her phone.. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Follow Ups:
If the earbuds or headphones are plugged in, playing music, but not in her ears, do they still develop heat? If so, that does suggest some kind of electrical issue. If not, then it's her discomfort with body heat that has warmed the earbuds or headphones.
Some dope heads 'discover' their ear canals, and never can stop being super aware of them. And they can drive one crazy.. with itches and feelies.
So I would guess she is just a ear canal aware person?
Perhaps using an earbud with a rubber insert? rather than the earpiece just resting in the ear canal?
