No riots, just bumper stickers. My music is from the early 1970's before Saturday Night Fever and the decay of disco set in. We endured that by listening to rock stations KLOS and KMET in SoCal. And by the early 1980's we had KROQ (K-Rock) bringing new wave and alternative rock to SoCal.

I was at Comiskey Park for a Disco Sucks rally that went off the rails
one of the mob action experiences that opened my eyes to what human nature is and can devolve into ... some scary shit right there

...but never knew the details. Google to the rescue.
what a mess ... I was knocked down and had to fight my way up and out!
I not only ripped my pants I pissed them ... getting your bladder stepped on is not recommended
and to see some pretty little girls turn into glassy eyed berserkers with rictus grins on their faces? I couldn't go on a date for two years
so I got married like a dumb ass ... NOW who's smiling!
regards,
I had a Disco Sucks T-shirt, but like everything I've ever worn, it was about a year out of date by the time I got it. My mom probably picked it up somewhere for a dollar.
The problem is not that there is evil in the world, the problem is that there is good. Because otherwise, who would care?
...all the "hot chicks" were into disco ;-)
Genesis ELP ,TULLEct, nowadays I listen to it for nostalgia from time to time
