You have to mine the content. If you expect to sit in a chair, flick a switch, and be mainlined entertainment, it's not going to happen. Both services CAN offer rich entertainment if you look and try. Drop your biases. I just discovered a two season UK show called The Missing that's great. Discoveries like this happen all the time...but I have to dig.
Follow Ups:
I have both services and I agree. Similar to "mining" for new music. The content is there, but it's not going to fall in your lap. Takes a bit of effort on one's part.
Agree and so I've found as well.
JustWatch is an app (and a website) that shows what's newly available on various streaming services. The information for each item generally includes a link to IMDB, where you can see reviews of the item. I have found some wonderful videos on my streaming services that I would never have known about otherwise.ReelGood has an app that does all of this, plus you can filter for content on your streaming services added in the last 45 days that has a certain IMDB score or higher, or year of release (I don't think the Reelgood.com website has those "filters" available.

That's worthy of looking into.
Thanks for that.
Thank you. I'll check them out.
