The problem is not that there is evil in the world, the problem is that there is good. Because otherwise, who would care?
Follow Ups:
I used to work "sorta retail" and every year around this time corporate would mandate Christmas music. There's one local station that was all Christmas tunes all day and we had to play it. There's nothing that's done more to ruin my Christmas spirit than weeks and weeks of Christmas music droning on and on that was old even when I was young decades and decades ago. Since I retired I can listen to Christmas tunes I choose when I choose.
I had a roommate years ago that would come from work and immediately put this in the player every damn day from Thanksgiving on until I "misplaced it".

There's a melancholy feel to his Charlie Brown music that IMO is suitable for this time of year. Especially this year.
For me, it's all the rest of them. All of them.

i got sick of hearing that music long ago. i much prefer his jazz playing.

Apparently there was a huge controversy this year because the Charlie Brown specials were only going to be streamed on Apple TV. I didn't even know they were still being shown.
My only problem with the soundtrack album is the actual xmas carols. Those I don't wanna hear.

Essential-Standards
now THIS is jazz music.

probably the best is Vince Guaraldi Trio from 1956.
And, yes, I've got the Charlie Brown thing. It would get more play if not for the infernal xmas standards.
Vince does get jazzy on the LP but he always leaned more to the lighter side. Nobody would ever mistake him for Cecil Taylor.

and enjoy the 96/24 version of that album.
Sounds really good. Much better than the 4-inch speaker on my parents' black and white Philco.
