Site is down currently.
Back up and running nice and fast this morning.

You don't bring a system down to perform maintenance. Many properly architected systems can be "maintained" w/o impacting users. The most ancient and rudimentary system would employ active/passive fail-over capability. Their system is obviously sick and got sicker over the weekend and now they say it's just "maintenance".
Are they going to refund all those ads that can't be reached?
Maintenance is what you do so the system does not go down!!
Although loading slow, I can see the individual ads and have access to the whole site other than the forums.
Looks like it's up again. It's been up and down for a few days now but when it's up, it's slow. I was able to see a couple ads but not all of them.
Well, everything seems to be working fine this morning, except still no access to the forums.
Yes- system upgrades in effect.
...and they're trying desperately to fix it while putting the "upgrade" spin on it.
Are they going to refund all those ads that can't be reached?

Not to worry everything is under control!
Pulling out CAT5 wire to make speaker cables?
Might explain the problem....
starting to think that this so called " upgrade " that audiogon decided to do is over the IT / Developers head as this should have been finished by now. now they are in the middle of this project and cant turn back now.
The sky is falling! The sky is falling!
Do I detect a sign of bankruptcy?
Anyway it's just a thought, you all have a good day (with apologies to Beau of the Fifth Column).
Slow to load much of the week today is DOA. Hope they get it figured out.
I was able to get to their main page but several ads that I selected randomly would direct me to an error page. Some ads appeared, others didn't. And now it is completely down as you mentioned.
"It was up 1 hour ago but not fully functional...." Thats what she said..
"I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the
most of us...very hard to explain why you're mad, even if you're not mad..."

I still get the maintenance message. 8:11 pm est.
I was (slow) poking around Agon earlier this morning to see what new used goods hit the market. I gave up because it was way too slow.
Same here as well. Been an issue over the last week, with Friday and again today being especially bad. I did submit a service ticket to A'gon. Hopefully they get it sorted out soon.

I never even try them anymore, since I found them to be essentially worthless, especially compared to US Audio site.
Same here. Started acting up for me about two days ago.Someone from AudioGon Admin posts about this:

09-12-2020 12:37pmWe're aware of the issue and do apologize. We are in the process of moving decades worth of data from one site to another, which is why you may be experiencing longer than normal load times and/or time-out issues. We hope to have the data migration completed shortly, which should ultimately result in a better, faster user experience. Thank you for your patience, and we apologize again for any inconvenience in the interim.

One would THINK that they would post some notice (like on their main/front page) about this so their customers would not be wondering what the F is going on, but apparently that would be too much to ask. (LOL)

Apparently they got the message. From what I understand they ran into unexpected difficulties when updating their system. Those IT individuals were probably overly optimistic figuring they'd have it wrapped up in a "few". Now A'Gon has added an informational banner on their webpage:
We are currently implementing site enhancements which may affect user experience. We apologize in advance.
I received a similar response from A'gon this afternoon, 9/12. They are aware of the issue and are working to resolve it. Looking forward to a speedy resolution.
We started some routine maintenance this week and ran into bigger problems causing the delays and
timeouts of the site. The IT guys are working hard today to get it restored back to normal.
