When I was visiting the facility they had a pair of original Audio Physic Virgo and the front end consisted of a Rega planet CD player and a newcomer integrated by the name of Rogue. Those Virgoes were some 20 feet apart in a hall corridor type setting no deeper than 8 feet and the imaging was spooky real as Stevie Ray Vaughn was a realistic clear center image.
By the way they had big Sound Lab electrostatics right behind the Virgoes In each corner aka Stereophies review and for all intents I really thought the sound was coming from them. It was later I read the same in the stereophile witeup on the Virgoes. Mick said he was always in the top 10 at setups in big CES shows.

Follow Ups:
That's awesome, but seems kinda crazy, as there is/was another Sound Lab dealer not too far distant (Barrington?)
No can't vouch for that. They simply may have been trade-ins, can't say for sure as I didn't inquire.
It's just as I stated they had a pair behind the Virgoes in each corner giving the illusion of sound eminating from those big stats. Those Audio Physics had the most float in open space sound I've ever heard from any speaker, really had to put my ear right on the tweeter to know where the sound was coming from. I had my Mirage OM6s and company with lots of cone area for dynamics and spls doing double duty for music and home theatre and was auditioning Plinius electronics at that time. Still have this setup.
.
The A.P Virgoes memory still impresses me to this day.
