Cool.... isn't there a high-end audio company selling cable risers that are essentially three chopsticks rubber-banded together toward the top forming the three legs into a mini tripod?

Hi Abe! I remember seeing the exact same item you describe. I just did searches on Google, Music Direct, Acoustic Sounds and The Cable Company. I could not find them.
They would never work for me. My speaker cables are too stiff, thick and heavy and have separate legs for positive and negative runs.
The stands I repurposed here are ideal for my application because the rings are large enough and the vertical support post divides the ring pass through into two halves for each cable leg for balance.
Yours is a clever use of a household item as a cost effective audio tweak. I understand it was mainly for ease of cleaning, but still clever!
I can't find those chopstick cable risers either but I recall seeing them many years ago.
The sticks were free with dinner. I paid $5 each for some imported rubber bands.
