Cool. Although, there's probably a reason why they're selling it rather than keeping it.
Think it through. Can any studio make more money with that console than Abbey Road? No. Can Abbey Road make more money with more modern electronics and systems? Yes.
"Yester-year" had some great stuff which is inadequate and expensive to retro-fit for today's recording/production needs. Still, it may be useful or at least nostalgic to someone.
I hope it goes to a good home where it will continue to be used to create great sound and music.

Just to mention that it isn't Abbey Road Studios that is selling it. It is its owner since 1983, Mike Hedges.

Ya know, every time I've been in a studio that has a rich history, I can almost feel the energy of sessions which were tracked or mixed there. It's like the room and the equipment are alive and just waiting for their next adventure or to tell a story of something they've experienced.
