Thinking about selling everything I own so I can get these, especially after this seeing the linked review. Unfortunately I'll no longer have a hifi system to hook up.
Price: Odin 2 speaker cable, $29,999/1m pr. (additional half-meter increments, $3999/pr.); Odin 2 analog interconnect, $19,999.99/0.6m pair (additional half-meter increments $2499/pr.); Odin 2 power cord: $16,999/1.25m
Yeah, I know this kind of shit ain't news and we get immunized to hi-end absurdity, but Jeez.

These are the best there is (if your cat 🐱 is missing check here first!
I was once offered a 1M pair of Odin interconnects -- the originals, not the current versions -- for $500 after hearing them compete in a cable shootout*.
I was sorely tempted, if only because I figured I could flip them for a lot more.
* They didn't win. I don't remember what did.
NOT AS GOOD! ;-)
Cable bandits or was that wire bandits?
In my system about half of my cable loom is Odin or Odin 2. As far as Odin 2 is concerned, currently my speaker cables and the main system power cord. I started replacing the mostly Valhalla and Valhalla 2 product with Odin several years ago. I also upgraded all the Valhalla to Valhalla 2 at the least. And since December 2016, I have replaced the Odin speaker cables and main power cord with Odin 2. Are they expensive? For goodness sakes yes. Are they worth it? I suspect most would say no. I think it depends on the individual and the rest of the system. If your components are mostly in the five figure and up range each on their own, then a cable expense of this magnitude makes sense. And it doesn't have to be Nordost. Transparent, MIT, Crystal Cable, Synergistic, and many more have cable products in similar price ranges. I also believe in consistency. That is why I decided several years ago to standardize on Nordost. I won't bore anyone with a sales pitch because it is each to their own as to what products and by what manufacturer are used. As far as Odin 2 is concerned, in my system, it was remarkable the difference the speaker cables made this past December , and that was comparing Odin to Odin 2. And three weeks ago, the Odin 2 power cord that replaced an Odin power cord lowered the noise floor and improved clarity to a very noticeable degree. Now I certainly realize that there are many readers who would think it is crazy to spend this kind of money on a stereo system. Most days I agree with you. I sometimes wonder why I did just that. But here's the thing, if you can separate the cost from what cables in this price league can do for the RIGHT system, them sonically, they are a no brainer, provided you can afford them. I happen to love this hobby, and have for about 44 years now. I have finally reached a stage in my life where I can afford some "excesses" every once in a while. And audio is mine.
Thanks! for sharing- Paul. I certainly agree w/ you, in that, cabling is the forgotten component.
Not that I own it, but I can tell you that HP's system of not too many years back using the original Odin was beyond belief in terms of resolution and the ability to make the walls disappear. When one has a half a million dollar budget, incremental cable improvements like this don't seem any more extravagant than spending $30k for carbon fiber brakes on a Ferrari. Then again spending $65k on a pair of amps is most likely not in most folks line of vision.
Are there audible differences? Sure. One must place the expense in context.
That would stretch credulity.
much of what you found at Sea Cliff was under manufacturer loan.
As for pricing, I've been able to negotiate discounted from list pricing for a wide range of audio gear. I expect that if you approached a Nordost dealer with a reasonable offer and backed that with your credit card, you would be able to do likewise with them.
Odin cable does, however, provide a (phenomenal) level of performance commensurate with the systems HP used.
If someone can afford 250K in gear, you finish it off with stuff like this. Yes its absurd, but audio at the highest level is silly, isn't it?
If I were one of those with RIDICULOUS mad money, and I like how they sound in my uber system, I don't even ask about the preferred customer discount!
I have Heimdall II from the wall to speakers. At my budget level it's still unreasonably expensive @ 1/10th the price! The difference I hear(whether real or imagined) was enough to validate purchasing-only after negotiating a deal on used.
Odin II, can be found at significantly discounted prices on Agon any day. Still out of my league, but if you have gear up to the task, you're only on this planet for a short time.
I don't get it what's the problem with these? The cost? Hey, if you want to play you got to pay...Just don't order a new Escalade this year.

There are other things to talk about.
The one time I tried really expensive cable, I wasn't overly impressed with it......
But.....
If people can afford, purchase, and enjoy cable costing five figures, that's their prerogative.... No problem.

..."No cost is too great when in service of the music" Some pompous TAS reviewer or maybe letter writer from ye olde days. Little did he know of the future.................
And even if he DID actually sell everything he owns, it might not be enough-
Sales Tax alone would enough to swamp most of us here!
It would be interesting to get to know some Odin customers, many of us enjoy a pricey doodad for our systems once in a while.
If audio enthusiast A happens to have a few more zeros on their checking account balance than audio enthusiast B, their purchases are likely going to be proportional.
I don't know any Odin owners, but it would be interesting.
That's funny.
Don't do it! For that same $30,000 - $40,000+, you can add a very nice audio room to your house, which will make a more huger difference than the cables. May I suggest something about 25x30x12.
I'm quite pleased with my Belden 12 gauge twisted pair speaker cables. Now that they've been properly broken in for the past 25 years, all the atoms are very well aligned. AND, the tinning over the copper cores really helps to protect from RFI (we all know about the benefits of tin foil, right?)
:)
..that by publically stating you use and are quite pleased with Belden 12GA cable you are also publically admitting you are: deaf, an inexperienced listener, your system is not sufficiently resolving, you listen to the wrong type(s) of music, you're a musician or any combination of these conditions. Hahahahahahah!
Can you list them?
...Electronica, EDM, opera, classic rock, 50s rock-n-roll, large ochestral works-esp Mahler, anything baroque, anything not featuring a female vocalist, anything featuring pipe organ and esp silent era theatre organ, post 60s Jazz...shall I continue?
Oh wait.......that was another of my apparently too subtle attempts at humor. I take it you haven't heard those hoary old arguments spewed forth by one sect of audiophillia as they attempt to discredit another sect over something like the physical directionality of cryoed cartridge fuses etc. But I digress.......
but types of music - hmmmmm
...but the argument has been made, sometimes by those whom ought to know better.
"...Electronica, EDM, opera, classic rock, 50s rock-n-roll, large ochestral works-esp Mahler, anything baroque, anything not featuring a female vocalist, anything featuring pipe organ and esp silent era theatre organ, post 60s Jazz...shall I continue?"You've made several interesting points here and previously. I'll take them one at a time, so that some people won't be tempted (or confused) to lump them all together and subsequently dismiss me as a quack, fuddy-duddy, or worse... experienced.
Deaf: I'm only deaf parttime, such as when my wife reminds me to take out the trash. Inexperienced listener: If you read my inmate profile, you'll see that I did sound for a rock band for a while. However, the constant parade of hot chicks hitting on me just got to be too much. Just as well, since I quit while I could still selectively turn my deafness on and off (see point #1). With regard to being a musician: All I can say is that I'm glad my inlaws let me marry their daughter anyway. They still might not be entirely comfortable with that, however.
Now, on to musical tastes. Opera - please, make it stop! Mahler - wake me up when it's over. Electronica - I don't listen to it, but I could write that shit all day long. When you say "classic rock", I hope you don't include The Who, The Guess Who, Steve Miller Band, Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Robert Palmer, Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top. 'Cause if you are, them's fightin' words.
Oh, and, I still say one of the sexiest songs ever recorded is Bette Midler's "Do You Want To Dance?".
Oh, and, one more thing: Belden Rules! ;)
:)

...classic rock includes everyone you mentioned and more. Guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on that one.
And yes, Belden rules: if it's good enough for use where the music originates it's good enough for me. :)
Just to clarify, I LIKE those bands. Seemed like maybe you thought I DIDN'T like them.
:)
...but rather on the suitability or unsuitability of certain genres of music to ascertain the resolving capabilities of a system. i.e. Music used as a test signal to validate ones purchase of something characterized by gross excess. Quality of composition/writing and performance is irrelevant in this situation.
You mean there are forms of music other than Classic Rock that are worth listening to? I thought everything else was just for use in elevators and passive entertainment while you're sitting on hold.
Ah, well, nice to learn something new, but I gotta get back to gluing the cubic zirconia crytals on the resistor leads in my preamp. Makes that $400 box sound like it cost $100k... :))
I'm surprised nordost still sends them cables.
they aren't.
