No longer an audiophile, but still love my system, unfortuneatly I need to give in to I pod music input and have no idea how to get that form of media expanded and good enough quality to play through my Klipsch, Jolida Amp, Music Fidelity Pre amp system. Is all I need a digital converter? Or what? Any help would be appreciated

But if you want excellent quality, use your computer with an outboard USB DAC. The higher end DACs can be superb! Be sure to use a hi-rez file format for importing your music. MP3's suck.
If you don't care about sound quality too much use your headphone jack as an analog input to your pre-amp. Take care you don't blow your preamps input by using your iPods volume control. This is the cheapest and easiest way to get you iPod out into an audio system.
Can one get a digital out from an Ipod? Toslink? Usb? If so, that would make feeding the DAC of one's choice easier. OP seems to have some decent gear, far too nice for the headphone out (but WTF, give it a try...it might sound fine.)
