I have a customer who brought in a older Janis subwoofer and electronic cross-over to put on consignment. It was re-painted by someone ( shame ) and I cannot seem to identify it's model number or even approximate age, nor does the customer even remember. If someone out there who knows any of this companies models, please send me a personal e-mail and I will e-mail you back a digital picture of the unit and perhaps you can identify it for me.
Anyone care to try ???? ( audio.man@rogers.com )

Much thanks to one of the members of the Asylum who responded immediately in helping me I.D. the sub. It appears it is a Janis W1 with 100 watt cross-over/amplifier and likely 12-15 years old, maybe more.
...that I purchased new in 1986. It worked great. The crossover/amp for the sub takes the pressure off the main speakers. The problem was that my wife hated hated hated it. She said it looked like a humidifier. She said if I died she would bury that "subwoofuh" with me. So now the Janis sits in a closet.
I currently have a small Mirage sub (with the teeny satellite surround speakers). It sits behind the big stuffed chair she put in that corner.
The Janis W1 from the seventies had a 15 inch woofer and I believe the W2 was a 12 inch ( could be mistaken on that ). The price used for a W1 is about $500 depending on condition; less of course for the W2. The 1970's models started with a 60 watt amp and the 1980's series upped that to a 100 watt.
