For those who own or have auditioned a BPT 3.5 Signature: I would appreciate the benefit of your experience with regard to break-in, e.g. how you did the break-in, how long it took before you considered it "ready" for "critical" listening, how much it changed from, say, a few days to several weeks (and HOW it changed). Anything you can offer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.
Follow Ups:
At first I heard relatively little change, so I ran it for several days. After one or more weeks it was amazing me. I have everything plugged in, except video... who cares about picture when the sound is THIS good! ;^)I've gotten great comments: "Don't change a thing in your system." "Quite an achievement." "Never heard such a nice, detailed presentation." "Best I've heard the SCD-XA777ES sound, unmodified."
but I've heard better. The NEW Sound Applications unit and also the Velocitor. BPT did limit "some" dynamics when heard.
Mine is the latest Signature with milled faceplate, just a couple months old.I suspect what you heard was not limited dynamics but perhaps a spotlight on detail that distracts one from the dynamics. With it in my system, it has more dynamics and slam than when bypassed. Everything is connected to it, including the mono tube amps. It also firmed up images and brought out tons of detail, illuminating the center and back of the stage. But, it took a while to hear those virtues, either due to break in or to my listening adjusting to the change.

Your impression would be a great deal more helpful if you could give us at least a brief description of the conditions under which you heard all three of these units, e.g. all of them in your system under controlled conditions (nothing else changed), were different power cords used, do you hear them in different systems, were all of them broken in, etc. In any case, at least a little more detail would be appreciated.
good review on 6moons. but what is your experience? what did you replace with it? all of us be interested in your assessment. also are you ss or tubes?
Sorry, but I just received it - for audition. That's why I'm asking about break-in.
The Z-sleeves within the component are known to take about 20 to 40
hours to settle-in. Depending on how much trauma it experienced during
transit, you can expect it to take up to a full month to fully cook. I
heard significant benefits immediately, but there was an improvement
over the following month. I also encountered a few days of brittleness
around the hundred-hour mark.
