I'm considering the upgrade from a Node 2i to a U1. I've read all the reviews and I've had the Node 2i for 20 months. I use the Node 2i into a Chord Qutest DAC then into a Cary integrated amp.
==> Can the Lumin use and save detailed URL inputs such as JazzRadio premium stations?
This is the deal killer. TIA.
Follow Ups:
Lumin uses TuneIn Radio (as indicated on their website - https://www.luminmusic.com/streaming-services.html) for internet radio. It now supports FLAC, including more than CD quality.
Edit: I must have originally read an outdated Lumin user guide A newer one appears to confirm URL save ability:https://www.luminmusic.com/manual/app-internet-radio.html
Old: This firmware update might be it:Version 5.10 (March 4, 2015)
Enhancements and fixes:
- Support Custom URL on TuneIn.But only if it can be saved. Here's to hoping it is so!

Thanks but I knew that. One of the reviews of the U1 that I read mentioned that the U1 used TuneIn but it could not use the TuneIn ability to add custom URLs to add Internet radio stations that TuneIn does not carry. Apparently on the U1 you can enter and tune in a custom URL/station but you CANNOT SAVE it. As a result you must repeat that lengthy URL entry process each listening session.
This is a deal breaker for me because I listen to several stations that are not in the TuneIn stations list. Each URL entry is about 30 characters long. TuneIn on the Bluesound Node 2i allows these stations to be "saved" and therefore enables one-tap access for the next listen.
I know that Lumin updates their firmware and I hoped they had added this ability after the date of the review that mentioned this problem.
