Although not as high end as the Lumen, Bluesound implemented the Masters icon weeks ago. Great news for all

Is this something that would work on an iPhone as well? I'm new to all this and can't keep up. I'm using an iMac for masters on the tidal app. I didn't know anything was available for iOS.
If I understand your question, then I don't think so.
I believe Tidal said it will eventually be able to stream masters on portable devices, but for now only available on the desktop app/player.
The OP and ejk have components that now support MQA. I just looked the Lumin is a player/DAC, that has upgradeable firmware. As a player it includes an app that controls it on a portable device. You can either attach a hard drive, a nas, or an ethernet internet connection to stream Tidal. I think they just updated their firmware to do the initial unfolding. It should be putting 24/88or96 through to the DAC.
A player like the Lumin or for example the Aurenders are basically little computers that are optimized for just one purpose the playing of music, some have built in hard drives, some have onboard DACs, some don't.
Two years ago, I didn't have a clue when it came to the playing of files or of streaming. It can seem very daunting, it sure was for me. I'm now 62, and thought I would never get into computer based music. That a tuner, vinyl and silver discs were all I needed. Now I have a laptop I only use for music, mostly digitized vinyl, some CD rips, some purchased downloads, and with a three month trial subscription to Tidal, streaming. I find Tidal to be quite amazing, having access to much of the music that is on my Amazon wishlist. And now with the masters I am getting some really good sound. As I am writing this I am listening to the Neko Case box set "Truckdriver Gladiator Mule" at 24/96. I had won a $200 GC at a local record store, I had that vinyl box set in my hands, but passed to choose a variety of vinyl releases. I would have digitized it anyway, as I have found digitized vinyl done right, sounds really good, and with the Neko Case boxset, I would have had to get up 16 times to play it all at once.
Well, I hope that answered your questions.
The Tidal firmware has done the initial unfolding from the start
Alan
I realize that, but something changed with his Lumin, maybe it is just showing them in the remote app. He mentioned he was now streaming at 24/48, which would be before the initial unfolding.
Take another look at the OP's first post.
Just read LUMIN is not on MQA band-wagon yet. I'm getting the Masters files non- MQA decoded just using LUMIN D1 and iPad mini LUMIN app.
