I owned a CD192 for years. I loved it, but it is not in the same class as the Cary 303/300. Just isn't.You will get more detail, clarity and frequency extension with the Cary. And unless you are after a particular tone above all else - I'd go Cary.
Both are great players, but the Cary 303/300 is in another league.

I decided to get the Cary. In the end it bested the CD92. Although both are detailed, certain details were heard with the Cary that were not heard with the CD92.

I bet you won't regret it!
The improvement above the CD92 will be increasingly subtle (but more important) - and key for that will be things like detail, bass response, and non glare treble extension.
