Doesn't give a rated power into 2 ohm loads, but says it MIGHT be stable into that load. How about 1 Ohm? How about .33 Ohm?
Manufacturer's spec is 23 amps peak.
"Drives ANY speaker???"
For ALL that is HOLY. Anybody with some Scintillas want to give it a run?
Infinity Kappa 9?
HELL! Want me to plug in my Soundlab Pristines?
SHIT - wanna go all "high end?" Anybody with some early Watt/Puppies?

Gonna have to say? I ran my Pristines (mine are actually Pristine IIs) at pretty much ear splitting levels with a Parasound HCA 2200ii, and then with an Innersound ESL-300.
Quite honestly? Though I most CERTAINLY couldn't get to that kind of volume, they sounded quite nice with my VTL Deluxe 120s - even in triode mode! :)
The Ncore amp used in the garage system, however, was definitely not happy driving them despite having 300 watts/channel.
The Bel Canto is Ncore based.
They sound great, seem willing to drive most anything, and the output tubes in my Deluxe 120s (807s) seem to last pretty much forever.
Clickbait? What does it look like in a bikini?

especially a failure. ;)

Would Stereophile (or the manufacturer) do anything beyond replace the amp, if it smoked while trying to drive a pair of 1 Ohm Scintillas?
Will say? For almost exactly 1/3 the price, I can purchase an amplifier that happily push 1200 Watts into that 1 Ohm load, so long as you can keep it cool & keep the supply line from sagging too much.
Oh, that amp actually sounds pretty good, too!
(If anybody gives a rodent's backside, my "comparison amp" is a used Krell KSA-150 - and there is at least one currently available on the broad market, in perfect working order for JUST shy of $2k, (when you add in shipping.)
You have been cooped up too long or have too much spare time on your hands.
Maybe SOME day, I'll find a "Class D" that is happy with some of the loads I'd want to present it with, but sure doesn't seem to be the case yet.
Just gonna say?
For HELL'S sake! My old NAD 2200 would happily drive 3 sets of speakers in parallel at ear shattering levels, so long as you aimed a fan at it! Based on the speakers in question, I'm beyond certain it was seeing MUCH less than 2 ohms at certain frequencies.
"Drives any speaker..."
The equivalent of clickbait?
Sad, if it is not true.
Thanks! for sharing. 23A peak- is weak unless the amp is pure Class-A.
