Hi all,Thinking about taking the power cord upgrade path, will the Shunyata Diamondback make a good first power cord to match a Krell Intergrated amp. and or the Krell SACD player? I would like to buy a cord for both eventualy.
With which component will I hear the most improvement the amp. or SACD player?
Follow Ups:
I recently added two Diamondbacks to my system; one on my DVD player (Pioneer Elite DV-47Ai) and one on my amp (Rotel 1075). They are my first after market power cord and I was amazed by the difference, for the better, that the cords made right out of the box (dealer suggested about 100 hours for break-in). The biggest difference was the one added to the DVD player. If you are only getting one, I'd try it on your SACD player first. I have no hesitation in recommending the Diamondbacks.
Please give Chris VenHaus' site VH Audio a look see. I have tried a bunch of power cords for my Amp. the Flavor 4 blew the rest away. It takes awhile to break in, but right from the get go ( I burned it in on my guitar amp) this cord was heads and tails above every thing else I tried.Chris is excellent at customer service and communication, too. FYI
I've heard the Diamondback and it made quite a difference on both, a BAT amp and a sub. Good P/C's can make significant differences on source components also. After your diamondback is broken in, try it on both to see which change is more to your liking. Good luck.
