I tried D60 but eventually sold it in favor of Canare Digiflex. I heard many good things about D60 but in my system it sounded lean or empty in the midrange. Now people can argue all day about associated equipment. Or maybe I just had a "bad" one, you know the kind that travels around Audiogon like a hot potato. Yes the Canare did not have the detail at the extremes or the impressive soundstage, but it has better dynamics and warm feeling in the mids. I have only heard slight burn-in with digital cables. Usually hear most of their defining character the moment you plug them in, IME.

Hyperdetailed hi-fi shit. I think that pretty much sums it up as its what I heard years ago when I tried it (and while every S'pile reviewer was using it as a reference).
I had a similar experience a few years ago with a D-60. Midrange thinness was the culprit. It wasn't even as good as an Audio Alchemy powered cable I had lying around. It is the worst digital cable I have had in my system.
I had a Illuminati D-60 for a few months and never looked back when I changed to a Cardas Lightning. The Illuminati D-60 was initially impressive but it seemed to me that it was more about detail than music. I can't help but think that the design was lifted from a computer link on a F-16 or something scientific. Way too "digital sounding" for my taste.
...had the exact same experience...
