Earlier in the year, I acquired a REL Precedent FM tuner that is being given the once over by my technician before insertion into my Shindo-based system. The REL, being a mono tuner, has a single output jack. I'm presently saving my pennies to purchase an Auditorium 23 Y splitter with two RCA males on one end and a single RCA male on the other. In the meanwhile, could you recommend a reasonably priced manufacturer with the same type of Y splitter that I could purchase to enable me to run the tuner in my system?
Thanks in advance!

This should work!
As a temporary configuration, rather than buy an inexpensive Y-adapter cable, I suggest buying an inexpensive 1 rca male -> 2 rca female adapter in order to use a pair of good rca interconnect cables you might have on hand for better performance.
See link:
But for some reason the original poster is asking for a single male RCA to a dual male RCA.
He double posted (also in the Tuner Asylum, link below), and I asked him there why he feels he'll need single male to dual male RCA.
If our thinking is in fact correct, you found a bargain for a temporary male to dual females adapter. I found a pair for $9.95 and thought that was cheap!

Indeed. While the molded connectors of either type of adapter tend to be very sub par, at least the conductors, dielectric, and geometry of a good pair of rca interconnects will be better and provide better SQ than the typical cheap coaxial cable that Y-adapters tend to feature, with the only downside being an additional connector interface.
He didn't specifically mention he wanted an interconnect , so my mind's eye was picturing something like the adapters we both chose, except with three male RCA plugs. That didn't make any sense to me, which is why I asked.I agree with you, the adapter, with good quality interconnects, should give better performance than a cheaply made single to dual channel interconnect.

An rca Y-adapter tends to imply a splitter with an integral cable involved, while an rca adapter tends to imply an I/O splitter, without any wire involved.
