I have finally jumped for a Pangea AC9SE powercord for my Bryston 4B-SST2 amp.
Naturally my best friend is incredulous i would waste that much for 'nothing'.
Yeah well so what.
The Pangea AC9SE have a rebate if you send them ANY IEC ended cord, $50 refund.
So I made certain it was ANY, and yeah, any, so i sent in a junk 'who knows what from' IEC ended cord. So instead of $350 for the four meter, the total cost is $300. (return postage cost $5.35)
$300. is still well within the 10% total wires percentage considering the Bryston costs $5K.
I figure the amp is the best place to put the SE version if i have just one.I'll post what i think of the Pangea AC9SE after I have it a few weeks.

I suggest you experiment before relying on that assumption.
In my experience power amps are *least* affected by power cord swaps when compared to CD Players, DACs and pre-amps.
No cost to try ...
Short’s the best position they is. Bullet in the Brain

Short hop from MI to WI tracking is ready for delivery 8/9/12.
Plan on one day used to power Furman REF20i to break in, (And see if it matters if just for powercord going TO the power conditioner.)
Then on to the amp directly on Friday..
your best cable on the first link in the chain, the Source player. I've tried many combinations, and I've found it to sound best There.
So, maybe the best place for the new PC is Wall to Power Conditioner. Would you give it a try, see if you have a preference?
Interested in Oakland.
On the digital side i had found not having a too perfect cord was better for some components.
I have to say my digital front end is not of the same caliber as the pre/amp/ speakers. When I put the 14SE on some item, i was not pleased, and went with a standard Pamgea 9 as a better sound.
SO for now my sources are going to stay as they are. (several have only the OEM captive cords anyway.)
If I put the SE cord on anything in the source area, it might be the PS Audio P600 power conditioner I use for the digital..
on what the Furman powers, you will probably find a remarkable difference. It has in almost all systems I've played around with (except a lo-fi one).
Good luck and have fun. Can't wait for the comments - in your own style, of course.
It is better than AC-9.Even when you put it in the first time it has a bigger soundstage and the top is lot better also. Mine is already broken in and am enjoying it immensly.
All joshing aside, I will be looking forward to your impressions.

I have a few items I do not need. So if I can sell a few of them it will give me extra money to blow on the Pangea AC9SE cords.. Even selling some of the Ac9 i have can be Ok as long as i keep some. I have a LOT of them...
Some stuff i have laying around i just do not want to sell.
But other stuff can go..
(at least the ones that don't hang in this room) so I wouldn't sweat the non-audiohile scoffing.
Or any audiophile scoffing for that matter.
Hope you enjoy it and it has a similar effect as my only
audio equipment purchase of the past year, a TG Audio SLVR
PC. WHAT a GREAT improvement that has had on my pre.
Nice to get that extra $50 off in the trade program, a very cool idea on their part.
