Anybody with experience with Transparent USB cable. Want to use with Qsonix and dCS Uclock
Edits: 04/12/12Follow Ups:
I would love to hear what did you do about the Audioquest Diamond USB vs the Transparent USB, iam in the middle of that too, if i only know that the Diamond performs as the reviewers say, i would not care for the cost as long as they are as good as they are acclaimed, any comments please
Got the Diamond a while ago but only got the Transparent this w/e. First impression is that Diamond very transparent and open but Transparent little more bass. Will post again after more listening.
Just waiting to get demo cables for both. Will let you know after I get them.
Ok thanks and good luck!
How long do you need your particular USB cable to be?
9ft
The Transparent USB cable seems to be optimized for extraordinarily long lengths. Otherwise, according to the link below, a 5m Transparent USB cable was found to sound better but not extraordinarily better than a 5m Belkin USB cable:
Thanks. Anybody with experience with AudioQues Diamondt compared to Transparent USB?
The AudioQuest Diamond is a much higher priced USB cable than the Transparent USB cable. One competitor somewhat nearer to the Transparent USB moderate price point would be the Kimber Silver B-BUS Ag USB cable featuring solid core pure silver signal conductors, 100% pure silver (not silver plated) being my exclusive choice of metallurgy for any digital signal application.

The price difference doesn't matter if there's an audible difference. I was just wondering if anybody have compared them directly.
I auditioned the Audioquest Diamond 1.5 meter USB Type A to Type B cable for one week and I found them to have the greatest tonal balance, clarity, transparency, resolution, and detail retrieval especially micro dynamics. They use the proprietary Audioquest 72v DBS so you will need a single AA battery. I owned the Audioquest Cinnamon 1.5 meter USB Type A to Type B cable and I sold it to another Audio Asylum member. I now own the Cardas Clear Serial Bus (USB) 1.5 meter Type A to Type B cable because I have almost all Cardas cabling including Clear Power cord, Golden Reference Power and Interconnects (RCA), Headphone replacement cable for my Sennheiser HD-650 headphones and Neutral Reference Digital S/PDIF (RCA). Cardas Clear Serial Bus (USB) is available up to 5 meters or you can place an order for a custom length. It is absolutely neutral and the clarity is just superb. However, the Audioquest Diamond USB cable is far superior and it would be in my system if I could afford it.
Cables do make a difference if you have a high end audio system like I do.
Thanks for your response. I use Transparent throughout my system, that's why I was looking fot somebody that have compared the Transparent to the AudioQuest. Any other suggestions for USB cable if price is no object?

Interesting review. Have you heard those cables?
I don't use USB for audio purposes, so I just gathered it while researching the topic. You might like to read folk's user reports about various USB cables in the Computer Audiophile forum.
