Hi all,
I'm hoping to receive some input on the pros and cons of these two speaker cables. From online reviews I understand that both are high regarded. Since I live in Europe, unfortunately I don't have the luxury to buy and try both.
Thanks in advance for any input!

Hi there, I can't speak for the Clear Day cables as I've never heard them, but do have an Asian friend whom owns a very nice system built around Shindo Labs Preamp and 300B amps used into a pair of Harbeth Acoustics Compact 7-ES 3's along with a Well Tempered Record Player with a Dynavector 20x2, whom has compared the Grover's to Jena Labs - Purist Audio Designs and Zentara cables all costing upwards of $2.900 and kept the Grover's saying that the other ones just didn't justify the price different enough for him to buy into what they were doing. Yet his entire system is wired with Grover's and it might be a synergistic thing going on?, but seeming that I've heard his system and to my mind hearing is believing " I think he has one of the best sounding systems I've heard from a guy whom has put together a very balanced system in less then two years ". I think that for the money, you'll find yourself spending a great deal more and still might not be able to better them on a purely musical concept. Regards, Oscar
Just MO and YMMV. I found the new Grover SC cables to not be as good as his 1st edition pure silver speaker cables, the Silver Reference and later white-jacketed ICs. On my system the sense of realism in the treble frequencies was just no longer there and only returned after changing both back to their original Grover cables. The bass sounded a little overly pronounced and harder on the SCs as well.
If it sounds good it is
Hi CD Dude, As mentioned YMMV, yet I'm only going by what I've heard in said friends systems as being a pleasant sound. I myself use several different cabling looms that consist of a sole Synergistic Research Tricon Analogue phono-cable ( Ag based ) used with either a pair of Crimson RM Music-Link - LFD Spiroflex or Audio Note Lexus speaker cables and power cords that I rotate between amps depending upon any given mood. In my system I too needed the extra snap and sparkle at the very top end that I've found silver to produce in systems with slightly rolled off highs - where as in my friends system where his Harbeth Compact 7ES-3's use metal dome tweeters the copper based Huffman's did an outstanding job in this application as it should be well known listening have to use either silver or copper based cables to voice their systems accordingly and know what sounds best to their ears and not be moved by others opinions based upon what ones ears/senses tells them is right or wrong in their system. It's all subjective/objective to say the least - but they are a great starting point are they not?. Regards, Oscar
Yes Oscar I would agree they're a decent starting point. Only the individual will know how they work when they've heard them in their system. YMMV

I will say that Paul Laudati at Clear Day is great to work with and has a thirty day trial period and if you ask he may extend that since you live in Europe, so I would contact him and try a set.

The ClearDay cables bested my short anti cables (speaker). Dont know about the other brand. You might try The Cable
Company for trial samples.
I've used the ClearDay speaker cables for a few years and find them to be excellent performers. Never tried the Grover speaker cables, but I do have one of his IC's I use occasionally. I'm afraid the only answer is to take the plunge and audition one or the other in your system. No way to "predict" which would be better for you.
