ha! your comment is funny and, at first, makes a lot of sense.
but on further thought it kind of falls apart. people interested in the effects of cables on their sound (in other words, the folks on this forum) often place components in order to effect certain cable lengths. placing mono-block amps closer to speakers to minimize speaker cable length is an example.
if our components have to be in one place, then, sure get a power cord of the length that fits well. but in laying out a system, we could place our components closer to the outlet or further. obviously there will be a trade of b/w having a shorter power cord and consequently longer interconncts or speaker cables, etc. my point is that power cord length should be a factor to consider in laying out a system..
it seems that optimal power cord length is something that is very poorly studied or understood.

One voltage, one frequency. And then it gets transformed and/or stepped down. How audible could it really be, the difference between a 2' cord vs a 10' cord?
