I recently purchased the Pulsar at 1.5M using the Nextgen Cu RCA for digital use (along with a Cryo'ed Pass & Seymour outlet) from VH Audio. After placing the order the doorbell rang and there they were!
(OK, not quite that fast but they arrived 3 biz days later).
They are not even close to breaking in yet, but the primary difference I noted was in regard to soundstaging: much greater width coupled with finer delineation of vocals and instumentation.
There may have been some additional cleaning up of the midbass but unfortunately it is difficult to tell with my room config...
After this initial use I am most pleased with the cable.
In regard to the P&S upgraded outlet, the improvement is either non-existent or very subtle... possible better deep bass (fortunately I needed the new outlet anyway and the cost did not break the bank like many other "audiograde" outlets - I do like the grip from the outlet).
I'm sure the P&S will also take some time to break-in... time will tell!
Excellent service! Great results! Who can ask for more?
Happy Listening!

Follow Ups:
DeeCee, I've had the cryo'd P&S outlet from CV for a few years, just replaced with an oyaide swo-xxx...the cryo'd P&S sounds quite crappy, IMO & IME. Its got a high end shrill and is extremely noisy - it now powers my fridge. The oyaide has shed new light on cables, in that i won't compare one cable to another without a high end ac outlet powering the system. Similarly, I'm A-B testing identical power cords w/Chris'cryo'd wattgate 5266i versus Furu F-11 connectors, both with DH labs ac cable. The diff is startling. Same effects as with installing the Oyaide's in place of the P&S. The noise floor disappears and true music jumps out. I'm just an active consumer, not a dealer of anything, and 6 months ago i would've laughed at the notion of owning a $100 ac outlet...try one and it'll change perceptions. The $40 Furu F-15 is quite nice too. again, no affiliation whatsoever, and i do think chris venhaus' products are fantastic and his cust service is bar none...just a comment on 'you get what you pay for' i guess. I'm a few months away from building a killer ipod cable with Chris' Pulsar wire and Eichmann's.
As I stated earlier, I was specifically buying the Pulsar and since the P&S Cryo'd is supposed to be better than the vanilla 50 cent Levitons (or whatever they hooked up when the house was built), I decided to go for it as I needed a replacement outlet anyway.I wasn't really looking for specific outlet improvements (especially pumping in those kinda bucks before I make other changes in the system/room) - I just thought I would see if this would make any kind of positive change over what was there previously.
I will definitely keep your appraisal in mind however if and when I do upgrade outlets specifically.

The Furutech's blow away the 5266i's, sorry for the confusion. I never knew I had a noisey system until the oyaide outlet & Furu plugs were installed. Now there's no noise or hash or grain, just gobs of sweet music. I guess i was making 2 points: First, get a good AC outlet - the cryo'd p&s is not & cable comparisons using that outlet aren't a good idea. Second - you get what you pay for & in audio spending a bit more can get you much better results. Both the oyaide outlet and furu plugs were engineered for audio. The 5266i's & P&S outlet were not. I'm not a dealer, just a consumer and tweaker. I'm the last person to throw $ at a problem...both these upgrades seem quite necessary to me now though. At some point in the future i'll post my A-B comparisons of the 2 AC cables. I was really hoping they'd be close in performance, they are not.
Yep... I find the digital cable very "colorfree" in terms of tone, but then it seemed that ALL the cables I used in my system seem very neutral; the major difference I have found were in terms of resolution and soundstaging. The Pulsar & Straightwire seemed to be much better in regard to rez over the Cardas High Speed I initially purchased - however the Pulsar walks away from the pack in terms of proper "stage projection" (for lack of a better term) in regard to image sizing and fine detail - microdynamics.
Don't know if the difference in sound is due to material use (Pulsar and S-wire are Cu/Ag hybrids) or if its simply cable construction.
All I know is the Pulsar seems to fit best (followed by S-wire then the Cardas) in my system.
Hi DeeCee,I'm glad the Pulsar/NextGen Cu digital cable is doing well in your system and concur with your observations. When placed in my particular system, it offers an articulate and controlled bottom end, and a very open and resolved soundstage presentation. I prefer it to a previous Cardas Lightning and Illuminati D-60. It's fast and detailed while still sounding musical, IME. I'm very pleased with it's nominal transparency; I can't really peg a notable sonic signature that would give it a marked "personality", so to speak. I also think it's a fine bargain (especially a DIY build) when compared to more pricey digital cables that can offer similar or even lesser performance levels, IMHO :-)
