I have a MA6900 integrated that's new with about 45 hours. High end lacks extension as is typical for the warmish Mc sound. I'm looking for a pc that will clear up the highs but retain low end weight and authority. Not interested in spending $1k for a pc. ($5-600). Suggestions? Thanks

I suggest the Zu mother and the Synergistic research power cables(any model).
These will do what your looking for..
i am using chris venhaus' flavor 4 power cords with gold/rhodium ends with great result.
don't let the price fool you, it is as good as (if not better) than zu mother, ps audio statement and virtual dynamics nite II.
They are very well built and have excellent sound, I use them on my MCD205, C42, and MC252. The VH cables open up the sound of the Macs. Go for the Furu version.

Hi ``Red``I use the Cardas Golden Reference pc on my McIntosh 402 as well as Kimber PK 10 Gold. The Cardas has the weight and body to the music with smooth highs...I ordered my cable w/out the ferrites. The Kimber PK 10 Gold is a ``neutral, smooth`` sounding cable that lets the signal flow but is just that...neutral and smooth. The Cardas is about $500.00-$600.00 and the Kimber is about $300.00-$350.00 . I like both pc`s a lot.
Audience powerchord has done just that for me. It opens the sound up nicely withour being overly bright, and had a nice deep low end. Very nuetral and natural, give it a try I think you will like it.Aaron
BTW: I have tried a quite a few power cords and this has been my overall favorite so far.
I have a McIntosh MC 402. I have used the Harmonic Technology AC 10. It will definatly bring out the highs. Cost for 1.5 meters $370. I however prefer a more natural sound and have switched to The Absolute Power Cord sold by GTT Audio. Cost $50. GTT runs all his amps off them and he is the largest Lamm dealer in the world.
