Does anybody have any insight if, and when, Wyred 4 Sound will be coming out with new amps using the new ICEedge technology?

Follow Ups:
It was my understanding that W4S was developing their own class D module for their Statement Amp. There's been a long delay in getting their Statement Amp out so I wonder if they gave up and switched back to using ICE amp modules. I have their mAmps and love them!
They were supposed to be coming out with a new amp with I believe an ICE amp module and analog/linear power supply. Copper colored thing IIRC. Don't know whatever happened to that.

I wonder if ICEedge technology will be offered in pre-assembled modules or subassemblies, or just the raw chipsets. If the latter, only the larger more capable companies will embrace it as many small garage shop Class D amp makers won't have the expertise to design up from the surface mount chipset level.
Class D modules are well suited for DIY or small audio businesses. Surface mount chips won't fly in this space.

The manufacturer, in this case B&O will ALSO issue a reference design which few will deviate from. Or very far, anyway.
I have the international rectifier reference board for one of their 'd' amps.

Isn't than a Shaving Soap ??
B&O is IMO the European equivalent of BOSE :-)

My experience is different. Two man shop designing with similar scale surface mount chips for close to 20 years, all low volume. CAD supports it, contract manufacturing off and onshore build it. Rework is tedious, but the tools help and the tech who has limited vision in one eye can do it. The local contract manufacturing house has assemblers that are even better/faster at it.
With that said, it drives me crazy when I have to debug something. Too easy for an old coot to slip and short something when probing. And have to wear a magnifying visor to do anything.
It looks like class D is set to challenge all but the finest Class A, AB, and SE architectures.
Likely class D chips and/or modules will take over the mainstream and "entry level" hi=fi markets. Only top and bottom of market will stick with AB amps. The top end because by spending enough money they can better the generic Class D, and the bottom end because they would rather not pay the class D makers their fees.
Working with chips rather than modules higher-end aspirants can claim more customization and tweaking and thereby ask higher prices.
I love the music of Dmitri Shostakovich ...
Ive heard that for well over 10 yrs.
The Devialet Expert and Expert Pro products sound better than the vast majority of Class A, AB, B, AHB, etc. It's class D for current, and class A for voltage.

have you emailed them and asked them this question ?
Good idea! I doubt I'll get a truthful answer, but it's worth a try. The ICEedge technology does sound promising!

"We were actually part of the testing process on those modules. We found that while, they work well in certain applications, perhaps pro or distributed audio, we didn't feel they were the right fit for true hifi."
