  I have not seen that particular Jensen field coil, but, what I can say is that their are some models that are VERY valuable, highly coveted and truly AMAZING sounding. Do not get rid of the driver until someone who knows something has looked at it.
  
  I have been sort of looking for a decent pair of Jensen M10 field coil drivers myself. I have heard systems where they are used fullrange, with a tweeter added to cover just the very highest frequencies. This can be incredibly nice sounding. A really great condition pair of M10, or the ERPI equivalent, can cost more than $25,000. The bigger M18 is also highly coveted. There are people that can re-cone these speakers so the condition of the cone is not that critical. Sort of a dream, but, I would like an open baffle system with the M10 or M18 on the bottom and a 597 tweeter on the top (too bad the 597 is even more expensive than the M10).

    Wow.....with your input along with another dude's I think Ill bring it to my local tech that works with a great many speakers. I'll see what he can do. If it works out, I'd love a dedicated mono play back system in my library.

  This console speaekr was an add on for a tuner or preamp... looks kind of like the same deal but a bit smaller.

    No way of knowing that by looking at his pics. Could need lots of TLC. Sorry but as an old gear restorer the chances are much much larger it needs lots of work. Alot of people replace the rectifier with a diode bridge then there is the VC , cone and surround. You saw the one I linked? Totally gone surround.

  I see old radios all the time in cafes when I travel in Latin America. It goes very well with their typical older decor. They rarely are functional, though.

  It's 15 ohm field coil speaker and may have an amp in there, we can't see it. More pics required. The thicker wire may be the supply voltage to the coil if there is no tube amp inside. Do you see a chassis with tubes? Field coils were also called Electrodynamic. Typical schematic shown
