A big "bang-for-the-buck" amplifier that makes no apologies for its value. Treble/Midrange is detailed, airy and grain-free, bass is solid and well controlled. Power output is more than ample, maintaining perfect composure and never sounding congested, even at extreme listening levels. Low level listening is superb and maintains plenty of body even at the quietest levels. The amp has provisions for mono-bridging via a toggle switch on the rear of the chasis. Independant level controls are also provided, flanking the mono-mode toggle switch. Front panel consist of a power switch (although the "A" model can be 12v triggered to power on by a compatible preamp), power led, stand-by led. This amp does run hot; being Class A operation exclusively up to 15 watts. I purchase a Vantec Stealth cooling fan (very quiet) to assist in air circulation as my amp is in an enclosed rack. I've had no over-heating problems.

I'm very satisfied with my 1500A II. Musical, no harshness, quiet, and superb bass control. Mine runs very cool too.
I've had mine for over three years powering PSB Goldi's and haven't yet heard an amp worthy of the price increase. I auditioned Bryston 4BST (sonically about the same), Marsh A400s (liked the highs but lacking in bass control), and Aragon 8008BB (too mellow for these speakers). Still looking..
It is a good thing to know that more Cos. are setting their BIAS higher\Forward to Cl.A operation.I think this and the PS are the main factors of making musical amps.
I just orderd a set of LeAmpII Monoblocks which are suppose to be capable of doubling it's output power with each halving of Impedance. It is rated at 200Watts\ch. into an 8ohm load and 800Watts\ch. into a 2Ohm load.If this is true then it's one of the best valued amps I have ever encounterd. To be conservative nOrh is only stating the spec. to be 180W\ch. into 8 ohms.Alot of people are eager waiting to hear these baboes purrr!Myself included.
