Are there any good amps with a built-in DAC? Here are my constraints:So far all I've found is the Music Hall Mambo integrated and Maven receiver, but they don't have a headphone output. I know there must be lots more in this digital age, but I can't find them. Help!
- Can't be a class-D/class-T amp. I want to hook a subwoofer to the speaker outputs and so the negative terminals must be tied together, which is rarely/never true with class-D/class-T amps.
- I don't want a big honkin' home theater surround-sound receiver thang. A modest two-channel receiver is fine.
- Headphone output is desirable.
- Don't need much power. A few watts is okay.
- Cannot cost an arm and a leg.

An Accuphase integrated with one of their DAC option cards woudl do too
Why not find a used Bryston B60r/Da? from a authorized dealer it will
have a 10 12 year warranty still !
Bryston B100 SST Integrated Amplifier with optional on-board DAC,
has generated very favorable reviews, but this violates your condition no. 5.
...you are right that it violates my condition no. 5. Unfortunately I cannot justify that expense.I found another one that fires on almost all cylinders for me -- the new Outlaw Audio 2-channel receiver. But unfortunately it only takes USB, and I need S/PDIF.

That looks cool, but it goes in the opposite direction. I have an S/PDIF source and the Outlaw receiver is USB input only.
